Terms of use
Last updated 8 November 2026
The short version
- Swingframe is a practice tool, not a coach or a doctor. It estimates body positions from video, and those estimates can be wrong.
- Practise safely. Warm up, make sure you have room to swing, and stop any drill that hurts.
- Accounts are for people aged 13 or over. Keep your details accurate and your email account secure.
- The first training block is free. If you choose a paid plan later, you will see the price and terms before you pay.
Who we are
Swingframe is run by Finlay Thompson in Scotland, United Kingdom. You can contact us at privacy@swingframe.co.uk. How we handle your data is explained in our privacy policy.
By using Swingframe you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
What Swingframe does
Swingframe looks at videos of your golf swing in your own browser, estimates the position of your body through the swing, and suggests a fault to work on and drills to practise. It cannot see the club or the ball. The measurements are estimates from video, and camera angle, lighting, clothing and video quality all affect them.
Swingframe is general practice guidance. It does not replace a qualified golf coach, and it is not medical or physiotherapy advice.
Your safety
- Warm up before practising, and build up gradually.
- Check you have enough space before you swing, especially indoors. Look out for ceilings, lights, windows and other people.
- Stop any drill straight away if it causes pain, dizziness or discomfort.
- If you have an injury, a medical condition or are recovering from surgery, ask a doctor or physiotherapist before starting a training block.
- If you are under 18, check with a parent or guardian before starting a training block.
Only film people who are happy to be filmed.
Your account
An account is optional. To create one you must be 13 or over and give accurate details. You are responsible for keeping access to your email account secure, because we sign you in by emailing you a link. Accounts are for one person and are not transferable.
You can delete your account at any time from your account page. We may suspend or close an account that is used to break these terms or the law, or to harm Swingframe or other people. Where it is fair to do so, we will tell you why.
Using Swingframe fairly
Please do not:
- use the email feature to send plans to people who have not asked for them
- try to break, overload or get around the security of Swingframe
- copy, scrape or resell Swingframe, its drills or its reports, other than for your own practice
- use Swingframe for anything unlawful
Free and paid plans
Your first training block is free. Swingframe Plus is not available yet. When it is, we will show you the price, what it includes, how to cancel and your cancellation rights before you pay. Nothing is charged without you agreeing to it first.
Who owns what
Your videos stay yours and stay on your device. The Swingframe website, its design, drills, reports and software belong to us or the people who license them to us. You may use your reports and drills for your own practice and share your own results.
Changes and availability
Swingframe is an early version and we are still improving it. We may change, pause or stop features. We will try to give you reasonable notice of any change that affects you significantly, such as changes to a paid plan.
Our responsibility to you
We provide Swingframe with reasonable care and skill. We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, or for business losses, because Swingframe is for personal use.
Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that the law does not allow us to limit. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we will update this page and the date at the top. If a change significantly affects people with an account, we will tell them by email before it takes effect.
The law that applies
These terms are governed by Scots law, and claims can be brought in the Scottish courts. If you live in England, Wales or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts, and you keep the protections of your local law.
If something goes wrong, please email us first so we can try to put it right.
